The Aconex online collaboration system has been voted 'E-Commerce Product of the Year' at the 2008 Construction Computing Awards in London.
Run by Construction Computing magazine, the awards showcase technology solutions that drive successful construction projects. Aconex was also a finalist in the 'One to Watch' category.
Yuval Attias, Aconex Regional Manager Europe, said: "Within our market, we put unparalleled resources into product development, so we are very pleased to have won this award. Having recently secured £45 million in private equity funding, we have been able to accelerate our product roadmap, helping our clients to manage risk and to deliver projects on time and within budget.
"Our belief has always been that the service we provide is every bit as important as the technology, which is why we also provide virtually unlimited training and ongoing support to all users and offer specialised consultants for more complex projects."
Aconex, the world's largest provider of construction collaboration technology, services $210 billion worth of projects across 66 countries. As well as domestic projects, the company is servicing UK firms on mega projects such as Dubai Metro, the worlds most advanced light rail development, Yas Island, a US$40 billion mixed use project in Abu Dhabi, and Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, one of the world's largest casino resort developments.
Attias said: "Due to the current economic climate, many of our clients have approached us to see how we can support them in markets that are still experiencing growth. With our global network of offices, we have a great deal of expertise in this area and are helping clients of all sizes operate in markets like the Middle East, North Africa and Asia."
