Tube Lines, London – station modernisation
Causeway Collaboration, has been selected by Tube Lines to support its upgrade of the infrastructure on the Jubilee, Northern and Piccadilly (JNP) lines on the London Underground. Tube Lines has committed to upgrade 97 of the 100 stations on the JNP lines within the first seven-and-a-half years. This forms part of a total investment of £4.4 billion. Tube Lines will use Causeway Collaboration, which is based on Open Text’s market-leading team-collaboration and document management solution, Livelink under an initial two-year contract to manage the flow of information for its station modernisation programme.
Commenting on the web-based tool, Craig McFarlane, Station’s Project Manager for Tube Lines says,
“We are investing around £0.5 billion to improve the travelling environment for passengers and enhancing communications, fire protection and security systems through the station modernisation programme. To deliver this massive improvements programme efficiently, we needed a tool that would enable Tube Lines to maintain a consistent and effective approach to project management and to recognise the benefits of timely and controlled exchanges of information at all stages of each project. Birmingham Northern relief road - M6 Toll
The recently opened M6 toll road is possibly the UK’s biggest design and build project ever. Construction of the 27-mile stretch of motorway included widening the M42, building 57 new bridges, seven toll stations, seven new junctions, three maintenance areas and a new M6/M42 interchange, at a cost of £900 million.
